PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.12.2025 for granting exemption to write the Tamil examination for the appointment of Assistant Surgeon (General) in Tamil Nadu as 1/5

per the notification no.22/MRB/2025 dated 21.11.2025, issued by the 2nd respondent.

The petitioner, who has applied for the post of Assistant Surgeon(General), as per the Notification No.17/MRB/2025, dated 21.11.2025 issued by the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Recruitment Board has filed this writ petition, seeking a writ of Mandamus, to exempt her from writing the Tamil examination, as per the above notification, as she has studied 10th and 12th standard in Malayalam language.

2.Mr.C.Venkatsh Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.If the petitioner is aggrieved by the Notification No. 17/MRB/2025, dated 21.11.2025 issued by the Tamil Nadu Medical 2/5

Services Recruitment Board, it is open to her to challenge the same, in the manner known to law, if she is having a valid ground. Seeking a Mandamus to the respondent Board to alter the conditions stipulated in the Notification as per the petitioner's qualification cannot be entertained.
