Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1&2.

2. The petitioner alleges that her family who are presently based in Nachadhupatti Village are facing harassment at the hands of the other community members. She therefore wants police protection to be granted.

3. It is seen that in this regard, Crime No.120 of 2021 was already registered on the file of the Namanasamuthiram Police Station against a number of persons. The first accused happens to be a juvenile. Therefore, final report has been filed before the Juvenile Justice Board and also before the Special Court (PCR Act cases), Pudukkottai.

4. The Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai as well as the Special Court (PCR Act cases), Pudukkottai are directed to take a call in the matter on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1429 of 2022 order. Since the second respondent is also directed to set up surveillance so that the safety of the petitioner's son is also taken care. It is the duty of the second respondent to maintain law and order within his territorial limits.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
