ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider the application dated 05.12.2023 submitted by the petitioner.

2. The said application is filed under Section 10 of the Maintenance and Welfare of the Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 for enhancing the maintenance amount. The petitioner's grievance is that as of today, the first respondent has not disposed of the said application dated 05.12.2023.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. The said submission is taken on record.

5. The first respondent is hereby directed to dispose of the application dated 05.12.2023 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders 2/4

in accordance with law within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by providing an opportunity of hearing to the second respondent.

6. With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.
