ORDER

This is a petition seeking a direction to the Special Court for Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cases, Madurai, to dispose of the trial of the Special Case No.56 of 2011 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the appointment of Special Public Prosecutor for the Special Court is in progress. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent also represented that it is possible to complete the trial within a period of 6 months.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners / accused has also given an undertaking that they will cooperate in the examination of witnesses and for the early disposal of the case. 5.Considering the submission made on both sides, the learned Special Court for Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cases, Madurai, is directed to dispose of the trial of the case within a period of 4 months and in any event within a maximum period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
