Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2368 of 2024 had been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Cr.No.106 of 2022 pending on the file of the the Sub Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Thiruvadanai Ramanathapuram District. 2.Mr.R.Jenifar Bibin, learned Counsel [Enrl.No.2839/2014/Mob.No. 9486963799], who filed vakalat on behalf of the Petitioner/Accused in both cases, Mr.M.Veeranthiran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the first Respondent in both cases and Mr.A.Mohan, learned Counsel (Enrl.No.1970/2008/Mob.No.8870414360], who filed vakalat on behalf of the second Respondent in boh cases are present in Court.

3.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is arraigned as sole Accused in Cr. Nos.106 of 2022 and 15 of 2022 pending on the file of the first Respondent, respective. During the course of investigation, the Accused and the de-facto Complainant had arrived at an amicable settlement. A joint compromise memo had also been filed before this Court by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Counsel for the second Respondent/de-facto Complainant. 3/6

4.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), on instructions from the first Respondent, submitted that the compromise arrived at between the parties is bona fide.

5.The first Respondent had also filed a status report, in which, it is stated that during the pendency of the investigation, the accused and the defacto Complainant had arrived at an amicable settlement and they are also identified with their Aadhar card.

6.In the light of the status report filed by the first Respondent, the joint compromise memos filed by the parties concerned are recorded. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. The FIR in Cr.No.106 of 2022 pending on the file of the Sub Inspector of Police, Salaigramam Police Station, Sivagangai District, is quashed. The FIR in Cr.No.15 of 2022 pending on the file of the Sub Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Thiruvadanai Ramanathapuram District, is quashed.
