(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take immediate steps to relay tar road, which is running through Agarappatti - Parukkaikuzhi Village and Annathanappatti Vadakkikalam Village, connecting the Kovilpatti to Meenaveli Main Road, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2021, within a time frame.
2. Heard Mr.D.R.Murugesan, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Raghavendran, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.
3. Claiming that the road running through Agarappatti - Parukkaikuzhi Village and Annathanappatti Vadakkikalam Village, connecting the Kovilpatti to Meenaveli Main Road, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District, were being used by the students and villagers for various domestic purposes 2/5
and the said road was not repaired for more than twelve years, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 23.12.2021, to the official respondents and the same, according to learned counsel for the petitioner, is unattended. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2021, in accordance with law.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of claim made by the petitioner either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 3, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2021, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders with regard to laying of tar road connecting Kovilpatti to Meenaveli Main Road, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
