ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein not to interfere with the peaceful conduct of Sabari Sports and Recreation Club activities situated at Survey number 572/5C Sithuvarpatti Moonu Road, Sithuvarpatti Post, Vadamadurai via, Ayyalur, Dindigul District 624 801 based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner is running a club in the name of Sabari Sports and Recreation Club at Vadamadurai, Dindigul District. The respondent police are frequently visiting the club and causing disturbance without any notice when the club is being run without violating the rules. He further submitted that they are following the rules as per law. He further submitted that the club of the petitioner 2/6
is registered under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Society Registration Act, 1975 by the Registrar of Societies, Dindigul, Sl.No.SRG/ Dindigul/ 85/2024 on 24.10.2024. Further no illegal activities has been carried out in the club, in view of the same the respondent police frequently visiting the club is not proper.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was only called for enquiry by the respondent to verify the records and there is no visit by the police causing disturbance in the club activities.
4.At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted usual order in such petition may be passed and also produced the order copy in W.P.No.16835 of 2021, dated 08.09.2021. 5.In view of the above, the petitioner's club is permitted to allow play of rummy etc., games without any monitory benefit or any other gambling activities. Further, the petitioner is directed to install CCTV camera in the entrance of the club, so that the activities of the club can be 3/6
recorded, and also directed to maintain attendance register with particulars of the members. The same to be produced as and when called for and sought by the third respondent Police. The third respondent police can conduct surprise check without affecting normal functioning of the club activities and also take action if any illegal activities are found to be encouraged in the club.
