The petitioner has sought for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of his pending appeal dated 20.12.2020.

2.The case of the petitioner is that though the appeal was taken up for enquiry only in 2023, even thereafter, there has been no substantial progress and hence, he has come up by way of this Writ Petition, seeking speedy disposal of the said appeal before the respondent.

3.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the appeal is now listed for hearing on 04.04.2025 and suitable directions may be given to dispose of the appeal within a time frame.

4.Considering the pendency of the appeal from 2020, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to hear and pass orders on the pending appeal of the petitioner in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of six [6] weeks from 04.04.2025.
