ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry in the civil disputes and not to spoil his peaceful life and business without any cause.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint of third respondent/Kannammal, CSR.No.597 of 2024 was assigned. For that purpose only, the petitioner was called for enquiry.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is ready to appear before the second respondent for enquiry on 30.01.2025.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent police for enquiry on 30.01.2025 without fail and thereafter the respondent police to complete the enquiry within a period of two months from 30.01.2025. The dispute is with regard to whether the 2/4

third respondent had sold the jewel or pledged the jewel. The petitioner to produce relevant document in support of his contention.

5. With the above direction this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
