ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the first information report in Crime No.389 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Sengipatti Police Station, Thanjavur District. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that during pendency of this petition, the defacto complainant made a complaint before the District Registrar under Section 77A of the Registration Act and thereafter, adjudication was conducted and the District Registrar cancelled the document, which was subject matter of the present quash petition and therefore, this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.389 of 2021 based on the order passed by the District Registrar dated 21.08.2023. He would further submit that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent has no serious objection.

4.In view of the above, this criminal original petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 31.01.2024 NCC :
