ORDER

[Order of the Court was delivered by T.RAJA, J.] This petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the detenu, namely, Premkumar, S/o.Jeganathan, aged about 24 years, before this Court.

2. The learned counsel counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that although some cases are pending as against the detenu, in the name of enquiry, the second respondent took the detenu for enquiry on 25.01.2020. Thereafter, there is no whisper about his whereabouts and the result of the enquiry. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 27.01.2020 before the respondents.

Mr.K.Dinesh Babu, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that though there are cases pending as against the detenu, in one case, which is registered in Cr.No.672 of 2019 for the offence under Sections 457 and 380 IPC, the detenu has been remanded to the judicial custody today and hence, nothing survives in this petition. He has also produced a copy of the FIR and requisition letter for remand before this Court.

4. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
