Prayer in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.16344 of 2014: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct first respondent police to register the case in pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioners dated 25.08.2014 against seenivasan, Chandran, Deepak and Sub Inspector of Police, Viz., Dawood Hussain.

2. The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.16344of 2014, has been filed to direct first respondent police to register the case in pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioners dated 25.08.2014 against seenivasan, Chandran, Deepak and Sub Inspector of Police, Viz., Dawood Hussain.

3.The petitioners seek police protection to the petitioners and his family members for their life and limb while they indulge in the agricultural activities in Survey No.122/3, Patta No.157 Manalur Village, Athur Taluk, Dindigul District measuring to a total extent of 9 acres 62 cents on the basis of the petitioners complaint dated 25.08.2014. Now, 4-1/2 years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioners cannot be granted now.

3.In view of the same, these criminal original petitions are dismissed.
