ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking direction against the Respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection for the Petitioner based upon the representation dated 22.12.2023.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions of the second Respondent, would submit that the persons, who are employed as load men are the members of CITU. They had protested regarding allotment of work. He would further submit that based on the complaint of the Petitioner, a case had been registered in Crime No.96 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 341 and 506(i) IPC.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Respondents 1 and 2 2/4

are directed to provide or extend the police protection to the Petitioner herein in the light of the disturbances created by the Respondents 3 and 4. The Petitioner shall pay necessary charges to the Police Party as per the circular of the Director General of Police, Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.No. 193784/PAC-2/2017, dated 19.03.2019.
