ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2018.

2. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. There is no representation for the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition, this Court takes up the matter for final disposal.

4. On perusing the petition, it appears that there is some matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and her husband/fourth respondent and it has been further averred in the petition that the petitioner faces threat to her life, limb and liberty at the hands of the fourth respondent.

5. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the

respondents 1 to 3 submitted that earlier complaint given by the petitioner has been enquired and the same has been closed.

6. The present petition is filed exactly one year ago and it is not known whether same degree of threat perception presently continues or not. However, if even now the petitioner is under any real threat to her life, limb and liberty, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation before the third respondent. On receipt of the fresh representation, the third respondent is directed to cause an enquiry on the same and take an appropriate decision as may be necessary to accord police protection to the life, limb and liberty of the petitioner. The said decision shall be taken within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh representation to be given by the petitioner.
