ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed, seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent bank to defreeze the petitioner's bank account bearing Account No.1012101042694 (Customer ID 74994792), Canara Bank, Thallakulam Branch, Madurai, by considering petitioner's representation, dated 23.12.2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that his S.B. Account No. 1012101042694 (Customer ID 74994792), held with the first respondent Bank, namely, Canara Bank, Thallakulam Branch, Madurai, has been blocked for some disputed transactions, as a result of which, his routine life has been affected and it has a high impact on his regular business as well. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 23.12.2024, to the first respondent to unblock the said account. However, the first respondent has not taken action in pursuance of the said representation. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, coupled with the fact that the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.12.2024, has been pending with the first respondent for more than two months, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.12.2024, and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order, uninfluenced by any of the observations made in this order. Also, this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 24.02.2025 NCC :
