ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is the sole accused, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.Not known of 2015, on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on giving a false promise of getting job at Port Trust, Tuticorin, the petitioner received a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- from the de facto complainant. Subsequently, he failed to get any appointment order. When the de facto complainant demanded money, the petitioner refused to pay the amount and threatened him with dire consequences.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner did not receive any amount and since there was a civil dispute between the parties, the present case has been registered against the petitioner.

4. At the request of the counsel for the petitioner, the matter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ was referred before the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre

attached to this Court. The Mediation Centre by the resport dated 17.11.2015 stated that petitioner in spite of being served with notice and having undertaken to appear for mediation did not appear and wasted the time of de facto complainant and Investigating Officer and referred the matter to Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that this is a matter of job rocketing and on giving a false promise of getting job at Port Trust, Tuticorin, the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- from the de facto complainant, when he demanded the same, the petitioner threatened the de facto complainant with dire consequences. The investigation is pending and therefore, prays for dismissal of the anticipatory bail petition.

6. Considering the gravity of offence and the nature of charges levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner as sought for by him.
