PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the wrongful transfer of patta for the petitioner's property bearing Survey No. 910/7A2 situated at Ayyalur revenue village Vedasandur Taluk Dindigul District and restore the patta to the petitioner's name as per the original records reflecting the lawful ownership of the property. ORDER
With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal, even at the stage of admission.
2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.
3. The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to rectify the wrongful transfer of patta in respect of the petitioner's property bearing Survey No.910/7A2. The petitioner 2/5
has made a representation to the third respondent on 05.06.2024 and seeks expeditious disposal of the same.
4. Without going into the merits or entitlement of the petitioner for rectification, the third respondent is directed to pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2024, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing any interested parties.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
