PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the report of the District Collector, Ramanathapuram dated 18.09.2024 and the petitioner's detailed representation dated 19.01.2025 to the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired PA to District Collector (Noon Meal Programme), seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent to dispose of the proposal submitted by the second respondent on 14.09.2024.
2. A perusal of the records reveal that though the petitioner had attained superannuation on 31.05.2023. His pension and commutation of pension have not been released. Therefore, the petitioner has given a request on 29.07.2024 to the second respondent. Based upon the said representation, the second respondent has forwarded a communication to the first respondent on 14.09.2024. The same has been received by the first respondent on 18.09.2024. However, so far, no orders have been passed by the first respondent, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the proposal submitted by the second respondent on 14.09.2024, relates to the pension proposal of the writ petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
