ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated in T.S.No. 7785/5C in Block No.131, Balaji Nagar (Malayappa Nagar), Pitchathanpatti, Pudukottai Town, by considering the petitioner's application dated 25.01.2023 and his further representation dated 03.06.2023.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's gave an application dated 25.01.2023 to the respondents for the new electricity service connection to his house. Thereafter, he made a representation dated 03.06.2023 to the respondents. Since the said representation and the application have not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 2/5

Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that in respect of the petitioner's property, there is a civil suit pending, hence, the respondents have not considered the case of the petitioner. However, the learned Standing Counsel would submit that if the petitioner has filed an indemnity bond, the respondents will take steps to provide electricity service connection, otherwise, problem will arose.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to file the indemnity bond and after receiving the indemnity bond, the respondents shall provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house by following the procedures.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
