O R D E R

This petition has been filed to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent herein to conduct the enquiry into Crime No.152/2014 on his file and file a final report before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard both sides.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the Passport Officer, Trichy has given a complaint stating that during the scrutiny of old records of Passport application of the petitioner, it has come to the notice of his office, that the petitioner has submitted a forged proof of birth. Hence, he lodged a complaint against the petitioner and the same was registered in Crime No.152 of 2014 on the file of 2nd respondent. So far, final report has not been filed by completing the investigation. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the investigation is in progress and three months time may be granted for filing a final report.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
