ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in the case in Crime No.363 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police stating that his vehicle bearing Registration No.TN 28 BC 7867 was stolen. Though FIR has been registered in Crime No.363 of 2018, no steps were taken by the respondent police to find out the vehicle.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the accused could not be traced and hence, the investigation could not be completed.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
