ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to survey the lands belonging to the petitioner in S.Nos. 140/2B, 141/2A and 142/1A, situated at Kandappa Goundanvalasu, Periyakottai, Oddanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's father's application dated 08.08.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is the ancestral property of the petitioner and has been in possession and enjoyment of his family for many years. The patta for the same stands in the name of the petitioner. He would further 2/5

submit that the petitioner made an online application on 08.08.2025 to the respondents requesting a survey of the subject property along with the necessary payment and that a representation was also submitted. However, the petitioner's land has not been surveyed to date and therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 08.08.2025 and the representation dated 18.10.2025, demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at 3/5

liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
