PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to conclude the interview for the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant in Thoothukudi District within a time frame fixed by this Court in a fair manner on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2022 after providing proper intimation to the petitioner. This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to conclude the interview for the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant in Thoothukudi District within a time frame fixed by this Court in a fair manner on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2022 after providing proper intimation to the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent issued a notification on 16.02.2018 to fill up the vacancies for the post of the Animal Husbandry Assistant in the second respondent Department and the petitioner applied for the same vide Registration No.7524, and later, she received a call letter for attending the interview on 09.01.2022 at about 10.00 a.m. at Thoothukudi. However, the interview was not conducted and thereafter, the petitioner made a representation on 29.08.2022 to call for the petitioner for the interview. However, the same was not considered and hence, the present writ petition is filed with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2022 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
