This petition has been filed to direct the respondents particularly the second respondent not to harass the petitioners in the name of enquiry based on suspect.

2.Heard both sides.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on the basis of information obtained over phone that the 1st petitioner is selling Tasmac liquor illegally in the pappankulam village, the 2nd respondent is harassing the petitioners and his family members under the guise of enquiry based on suspect. Hence this petition has been filed.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the 2nd respondent is directed to issue summons to the petitioners, since it can proceed with the enquiry in accordance with law. Instead of doing so, the respondent police should not unnecessarily harass the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this criminal original petition is disposed of.
