O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner has come forward with this habeas corpus petition for a direction to the respondents to produce her daughter, namely, Sowbaraniga, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner would state that the detenue has completed B.Sc., (I.T) at Ramakrishna College, Coimbatore. For the past one year she was staying with her, however from 07.01.2021 she was found missing and hence, she lodged a complaint with the second respondent and the same was registered in Cr.No.5 of 2021. Despite the repeated request, the second respondent did not take effective steps and hence, she made a representation to the first respondent on 28.01.2021, even then, there is no fruitful result and hence, this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.225 of 2021 petition has been filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would state that the detenue was secured by the second respondent and produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate-cum-Additional Mahila Court, Sivagangai on 08.03.2021 and after obtaining the statement, she was set at liberty.

4. In the light of the above statement, we are of opinion that nothing survives for consideration in this petition and hence, this petition is dismissed. No costs.
