Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of mandamus direct the respondents to consider the petitioner as a beneficiary of Rashtriya Gokul Mission awards for framers and Breeders Societies for indigenous cow breed under the 1st respondent Rashtriya Gokul MIssion Scheme and thus render Justice. For Petitioner : Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy For Respondent : Ms.L.Victoria Gowri, Assistant Solicitor General.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner claims to have developed an elite crossbred Jersey Cow and he wanted this Court to direct the respondent to recognise the same under Rashtriya Gokul Mission Scheme for award. Vide order dated 28.02.2019, I called upon the respondents to consider the petitioner's claim. Alleging that the order passed by this Court has not been complied with, this contempt petition came to be filed.

3. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent pointed out that the petitioner's case could not be considered for the simple reason that Gopal Ratna award is given only to those farmers maintaining herd of Indigenous breeds. The petitioner on the other hand is maintaining only a Jersey cross breed. Therefore, the representation of the petitioner came to be rejected. A copy of the order dated 12.03.2020 has also been enclosed in the typed set of papers.

4. Therefore, nothing survives for further consideration in this writ petition. This contempt petition is closed.
