PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 4th respondents to conduct enquiry and cancel the Legal Heir Certificate (TN720240111713 dated 19.01.2024) issued in favour of the 5th respondent by the 4th respondent and 1/4

consequently issue fresh Legal Heir Certificate on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2025 within the time as stipulated by this Court and by considering petitioners representation dated 20.11.2025. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct an enquiry and cancel the legal heir certificate issued in favour of the 5th respondent by the 4th respondent.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, she is the daughter of one Narayanan and legal heir certificate was issued by the fourth respondent after the death of the said Narayanan in favour of fifth respondent. The petitioner has preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 20.11.2025 and so far, the appeal has not been disposed of. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal presented by the writ petitioner and pass orders on merits 2/4

after giving due opportunity to the 5th respondent. The said exercise shall be completed within period of 12(twelve) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
