O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to produce the person or corpus of the detenue namely Jeyachitra, D/o.Rajarajan aged about 21 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner is the father of the detenue. The detenue is aged about 21 years. While being so, she was missing from the petitioner's house from 14.12.2025, therefore the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent and the same has been registered in Crime No. 504 of 2025 under 'Girl Missing'. During investigation the second respondent found that already the mother of the detenue lodged complaint before the Inspector of Police, Poonamallee Police Station, Avadi District and the same has been registered in Crime No.869 of 2025 under 'woman missing'. During investigation found that the detenue wrote a letter to the petitioner that she wants to be along and leave her.

Further the detenue left the home on her own and she is aged about 21 years.

3. Suppressing the said complaint another complaint was lodged before the second respondent and the same has been registered in Crime No.504 of 2025 under 'Girl Missing'. As of now the detenue is not under illegal detention of any one.

4. In view of the same, the Habeus Corpus Petition is not maintainable and liable to be dismissed.

5. Accordingly the Habeus Corpus Petition stands dismissed. [G.K.I., J.] [R.P., J.] 23.01.2026 NCC: Yes/No Index: Yes/No aav
