ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner either in the post of Conductor or any other suitable post.

2. The petitioner's father late V.Thangaraj was employed as permanent Conductor in the first respondent Corporation from 01.04.1998 and he completed 18 years of continuous service in the respondent Corporation. While so, on 04.07.2016, he had passed away and he was survived by his wife, daughter and two sons. However, representations were made by the petitioner's mother on 06.09.2018 and 20.11.2019 seeking appointment on compassionate ground to the petitioner. Though the representations were made by the petitioner's mother Muneeswari seeking employment for the petitioner on compassionate ground, the same was not considered and hence, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the respondent and carefully perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent Corporation to consider the petitioner's mother's representations dated 06.09.2018 and 20.11.2019, seeking compassionate appointment for the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, pass positive orders and giving an appointment to the petitioner in terms of the seniority.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
