Side) appearing for the respondent.
2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections clause 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 read with 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.8 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
3. The contraband involved is 30 bags of rice (1,500 Kgs) in all. The learned Governemnt Advocate states that the petitioner is having three cases of the same nature which were registered against him in the year 2019.

CRL OP(MD). No.1640 of 2020 4.Taking note of the bad antecedents, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
