ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to take appropriate legal actions and issue separate ration card in the petitioner's name along with her two children based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2023 within a stipulated time.
2. The petitioner and the third respondent are husband and wife and they are having two children. The third respondent had frequently harassed and tortured the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner had filed HMOP and got decree of divorce and thereafter, the third respondent has filed GWOP, however, the same was dismissed. Now, the petitioner is living separately along with her two children. Hence, the petitioner has filed an online application to the second respondent for issuance of separate ration card to her for the welfare of her children. Subsequently, she sent a representation 2/5
dated 04.02.2023. Till then, the respondents 1 and 2 have not taken any steps. Hence, she filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law by the second respondent.

In view of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
