ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide police protection to conduct a Kabaddi tournament from 24.01.2026 at about 6.00 p.m. to 25.01.2026 at about 10.00 p.m. at Sri Chetti Ayyanar Kovil Ground (Thidal), Kurukkathanpatti Village, Lakshmananpatti Post, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.01.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is seeking permission to conduct the event at a place which is a water body. 2/4

3. The petitioner has already submitted a fresh representation seeking permission to conduct the event at an alternative place. The respondents are directed to consider the alternative place and grant permission in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed. There shall be no order as to costs.
