Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct survey and fix boundaries of the petitioner's agriculture land to an extent of 0-7.20 ares, situated in S.No.594, Sub Division 6B in Patta No.5359, situated at Vennavalkudi Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, as acquired by the petitioner vide the sale deed in Doc.No.2129/2022 dated 31.05.2022, on the file of Sub-Registrar, Alangudi, based on the Acknowledgment Slip dated 27.06.2025 and E-Challan dated 29.05.2023 paid to the first respondent within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct survey and fix boundaries of the petitioner's agriculture land to an extent of 0-7.20 ares, situated in S.No.594, Sub Division 6B in Patta No.5359, situated at Vennavalkudi Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, as acquired by the petitioner vide the sale deed in Doc.No.2129/2022 dated 31.05.2022, on the file of Sub-Registrar, Alangudi.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property in question and that the application seeking survey and demarcation of boundaries of the said property is pending without any progress.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.06.2025 and demarcate the petitioner's land, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the revenue officials may seek assistance from the concerned jurisdictional Police, if Police assistance is required while carrying out such survey. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
