O R D E R

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners submits that this Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the Respondents 1 and 2 not to harass the Petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2.It is his further submission that the Petitioners were summoned by the second Respondent pertaining to the property in S.No.204/2 at Arasur Village, Sathankulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District. The Petitioners appeared and the matter was closed. Subsequently, the land, against which the dispute arose between the third Respondent and the Petitioners, was acquired by the Government. Therefore, the Petitioners cannot be summoned by the Respondents 1 and 2. Therefore, he seeks directions against the Respondents 1 and 2.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on an earlier occasion, the fourth Respondent had given a complaint, based on which the Petitioners appeared for enquiry and undertook to execute the rectification deed. Till date, that had not been done. Therefore, once again the third Respondent approached the Respondents 1 and 2 seeking relief. Now, current petitions are pending. On appearance of the Petitioners herein and after getting clarification, the Investigating Officer undertakes to act as per the circular issued by the Additional Director General of Police, Chennai in C.No.18/ADGP/L & O/Camp/2024 dated 09.01.2024. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
