O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the Contemnor/respondent and punish him for the willful disobedience of the order of this Court in Crl.O.P(MD).No.7740 of 2017 dated 12.10.2017.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that during pendency of the anticipatory bail application before this Court, the case was closed by recording the settlement arraived between the parties that is the condemnor herein has to give Rs.5,00,000/- to the petitioner. However, in agreed amount of Rs.5,00,000/-, Rs.3,30,000/- was paid to the petitioner and the balance amount of Rs.1,70,000/- was not paid. Hence, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

3. Today, the learned counsel for the respondent handed over the Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.1,00,000/- to the petitioner before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent undertakes that the balance amount Rs.70,000/- will be paid to the within a period of four weeks from today.

5. In view of the above, the respondent herein is directed to pay the balance amount of Rs.70,000/- to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If the respondent/accused is not paid Rs.70,000/- within a stipulated time, the anticipatory bail granted to the respondent shall stands cancelled automatically and the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, shall reopen the complaint filed as against the respondent/accused.
