ORDER

The present petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate II,Madurai to conduct trial of C.C.No.337 of 2013, pending on the file of he respondent police and pronounce judgment within a period of 3 to 4 months.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the FIR has been registered for the offence under Sections 147, 341, 342 and 448 IPC against the petitioner and others in Crime No.300 of 2013. After completion of enquiry, charge sheet has been filed and the same has been taken on file in C.C.No.337 of 2013 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate II, Madurai. Even though the petitioner was attending the case regularly, the trial in this case is not yet completed. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court for speedy trial.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that ten witnesses have been cited by the prosecution and they are yet to be examined.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, since

the case is pending from the year 2013, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai is directed to conduct the trial and conclude the same on or before 31.05.2019.

6. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
