Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 2nd respondents to remove the name of the 3rd respondent in S.L.R. in respect of T.S. No.232/2 measuring about 900 sq.ft. out of 2000 sq.ft. situate at Melur Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2023.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to remove the name of the 3rd respondent in S.L.R. in respect of T.S. No.232/2 measuring about 900 sq.ft. out of 2000 sq.ft. situated at Melur Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents. Considering the nature of the order going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property belongs to a temple. The third respondent fraudulently obtained patta in his favour and executed a settlement deed in favour of his sons. In this regard, petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 15.12.2023 to remove the name of the 3rd respondent in S.L.R. in respect of the subject property. Since the same has not been considered till date, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of in accordance with law by the respondents within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above said submission, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to hold an enquiry and to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.12.2023, which was submitted for removal of the 3rd respondent's name in S.L.R. in respect of the subject property and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
