PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the first respondent to withdraw the case in Crime No.313 of 2023 dated 13.10.2023 on the file of the third Respondent and entrust the same to the second Respondent for investigation by appointing Competent Officer and to file a final report before the Jurisdictional Magistrate within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Petition seeking direction against the respondents 1 to 4, to complete the investigation in Crime No.313 of 2023 on the file of the Velliyanai Police Station, Karur District.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that they have completed the investigation. Based on the Post Mortem Certificate in P.M.No.558/2023, the Investigation Officer had closed the case as death caused due to drowning. Also, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that within one month, the third Respondent / Velliyanai Police 2/4

Station, Karur District, will be filing negative Final Report as "action dropped".

3. The Petitioner is the mother of the deceased, who is the Defacto Complainant. The Petitioner is directed to approach the Court of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karur, to file protest Petition, if so advised.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
