O R D E R

This petition is filed to call for the records relating to the charge sheet in C.C.No.68 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District and quash the same.

2.When the matter was posted for admission 10.09.2014, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners took adjournment and the same was posted on 15.09.2014. Thereafter, the matter is pending for the past 4 years, without even ordering notice or admitting by this Court.

3.When the matter was listed on 27.09.2018, the learned counsel sought adjournment and the same was posted on 03.10.2018. Today, when the matter is called, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners again seeks adjournment. It seems that the petitioners have no interest to proceed with the matter, further. More over, the case is of the year 2014.Therefore, this Court is of the view that the pendency of this criminal original petition would not serve for any purpose.

4.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
