ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking direction against the Respondents to grant the permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Competition 11.02.2024 in connection with Arulmighu Shri Kaliyamman Temple Festival at Ambedkar Street, Ramasamypuram, Virudhunagar District. It is his further submission that the Petitioner had imposed conditions regarding fitness of the players participated in the Kabadi Tournament.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the Organizing Committee had to file a petition instead of an individual. On 2/5

such fresh representation, the Respondents undertake to follow the circular of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.No.193784/PAC-2/2017, dated 19.03.2019 regarding conduct of the Kabadi Tournament and cultural events. He would also submit that the Organizers shall pay necessary charges to the Police Party as per the circular of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.No.193784/PAC-2/2017, dated 19.03.2019.

3.In the light of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Petitioner is directed to furnish fresh representation in the name of the Organizers instead of an individual. On receipt of such representation, the Respondents are directed to dispose of the same in the light of the circular of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.No.193784/PAC-2/2017, dated 19.03.2019 immediately regarding permission and protection.
