ORDER

The present petition is filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioners and their family members under the guise of enquiry.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners face harassment at the hands of the first respondent. 4.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the second respondent and the second petitioner were in love for four years, and that the second respondent has preferred a complaint alleging that utilising her ongoing relationship with the second respondent, the second petitioner has borrowed some jewellery of the second respondent. He added that the complaint has just been received and it is being enquired into. He also added that the respondent police is neither harassing the petitioners nor https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

interested to harassing the petitioners whatsoever. 5.The said statement is recorded. If at all the first respondent is keen to hold any such enquiry / interrogation, the same shall be done only on summons and strictly in accordance with law. Prima facie, it appears that the only accusation is directed against the second petitioner, therefore, unless, strictly required, the first respondent may not enquire the first petitioner.
