O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kovilpatti to expedite the trial in C.C.No.66 of 2014 and dispose of the same at early.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are the accused in the aforesaid case and though the above case was taken on file in the year 2014, so far, only six witnesses were examined before the Court. He further submitted that the police has not taken effective steps to produce the remaining witnesses and complete the trial at early. 3.The Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that he will give instructions to the respondent police to produce remaining witnesses before the Trial Court in future without taking any more adjournments.

4.Recording the aforesaid submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Kovilpatti, is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the above case at early. The respondent is also directed to produce the remaining witnesses, without taking unnecessary adjournments. If the witnesses are produced on the prosecution side, the accused persons also should cross-examine the witnesses on the very same date, without seeking adjournments. 5.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed.
