ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 19.12.2017.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the State. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the daughter in-law of the petitioner namely Asha has scolded the petitioner with filthy language and also assaulted her and hence the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent on 19.12.2017, but no action has been taken so far. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the enquiry is still pending.

5.Recording the rival submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offences is made out, he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law.
