O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil to expedite the trial in C.C.No.472 of 2014 within time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner the petitioner is an octogenarian and defacto complainant. He would also submit that on the complaint given the petitioner a case in Crime No.161 of 2013 was registered by the respondent police and the respondent police after completion of investigation filed final report and the same has been taken cognizance in in C.C.No.472 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil. He would also submit despite lapse of five years no progress has been shown in this case.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the case is posted on 14.02.2020 for examination of witnesses LW.1 to LW.3 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Under such circumstances,there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil to dispose the case in C.C.No. 472 of 2014 within a period of four months from 14.02.2020.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
