ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the local body. The second respondent has been served and her name is printed in the cause list. She has not chosen to enter appearance.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that the second respondent had put up steps on the carriage way and also over the drinage canal. The photographs produced by the petitioners bear this out. The petitioner wants the encroachment committed by the second respondent to be removed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned standing counsel submitted that the spot inspection was conducted yesterday and the Corporation officials intend to remove the encroachment by adopting due process of law. This process shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
