Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to cancel or withdraw the look out Circular No. 2025/11708/00007488 dated 11.08.2025 issued against the petitioner in Crime No. 96 of 2008 on the file of the 3rd respondent by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2026 within the period that may be stipulated by this court.
ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to cancel or withdraw the look out Circular No. 2025/11708/00007488 dated 11.08.2025 issued against the petitioner in Crime No. 96 of 2008 on the file of the 3rd respondent by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2026 within the period that may be stipulated by this court.
2. Initially, a lookout circular was issued against the petitioner. The petitioner has now been acquitted in Crime No. 96 of 2008 and is therefore seeking withdrawal of the lookout circular. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the lookout circular had already been withdrawn on 22.01.2026.
3. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to forward the same to the third respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this 2/4
order, and the third respondent shall withdraw the circular within a period of one week thereafter.
4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 23.01.2026 KSA To
