By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The present petition is filed seeking to quash the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.87/Mugam/Ka.Thu.Ka/Alangulam/ 2021, dated 21.01.2021.

Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2021 was rejected by the second respondent citing the present Covid-19 pandemic situation. However, he would submit that since certain relaxations are made by the Government in the subsequent Government Orders, they are ready to consider the fresh representation, if submitted by the petitioner.

Considering the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner, if so advised, can submit a fresh representation before the District Collector, Tenkasi District and on receipt of the same, the District Collector shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.

5. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
