ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner under the guise of an enquiry.

2.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that First Information Report was registered in Crime No.51 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 341 and 188 of the Indian Penal Code on 18.01.2017 against the petitioner and investigation is still pending. 3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent police to follow the guidelines issued in the decision in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610.
