ORDER

Mr.K.Ramaiah, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The present writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation, seeking a mandamus to disburse the surrender leave salary along with interest.

3. A perusal of the records reveals that the petitioner who was working as a conductor in the respondent transport corporation had attained superannuation on 30.04.2015. However, surrender leave salary was not disbursed to him at the time of retirement. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 18.12.2024, seeking the above said benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

4. Considering the said facts, the respondents are directed to disburse the eligible surrender leave along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations and directions. No cost.
