O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 30.11.2017.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the marriage between the petitioner and one Ramesh was solemnized on 20.01.1997 and at the time of marriage, 10 sovereigns of gold jewels, cash of Rs.1,00,000/- and household articles worth about Rs.2,00,000/- have been given on demand made by the proposed accused and his family. He further submitted that subsequently, the proposed accused Ramesh and his family members harassed the petitioner by demanding more dowry and hence the complaint has been lodged on 30.11.2017, but so far, no action has been taken.

4. The second respondent is directed to enquire with regard to the complaint given by the petitioner. If the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then the second respondent has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law.

5.With the aforesaid submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
